We鈥檙e thrilled to announce Permit Launch Week, kicking off on Monday, October 28! This is our first-ever Launch Week, and while we might be a bit late to the game for a company that鈥檚 three years old and has such an incredible community, but it鈥檚 better late than never 馃槈

Over the course of the week, we鈥檒l be rolling out dozens of updates designed to make building and managing authorization systems easier, faster, and more powerful.

Our mission has always been to make authorization easy for developers with our slogan:
"Never build permissions again." This week, we鈥檙e delivering on that promise with a series of launches designed to enhance the developer experience, streamline decision-making, and push the boundaries of performance in fine-grained authorization systems.

Each day of Launch Week is dedicated to a different theme, showcasing multiple features that collectively improve how you work with Permit.io. Here鈥檚 a sneak peek to what you can expect throughout this upcoming week:

Monday: An Optimized Developer Experience

Our first day will focus on something we care deeply about: Developer Experience. From day one, Permit has been built to simplify authorization for developers, making it intuitive and easy to implement complex permissions in your applications. On Monday, we鈥檒l reveal new features that further enhance this experience, including a special announcement related to open source. This will mark a significant milestone for Permit as we strengthen our connection with the developer community and make it easier for you to contribute.

Tuesday: Precise Decision-Making

Tuesday鈥檚 theme is decisions鈥攖he core of any authorization system. We鈥檒l focus on how Permit handles policy decisions and how you can scale and streamline decision-making throughout your entire stack. Whether it鈥檚 ensuring fine-grained access control or improving performance at scale, we鈥檝e got new features that will make policy enforcement faster and more efficient.

We鈥檙e also excited to welcome Ben Greenberg from Couchbase as a special guest in our live stream. Ben will help showcase our new Couchbase integration, and we鈥檒l reveal how Permit can scale decisions more effectively than ever before. Expect big things in the decision-making space!

Wednesday: Fine-Grained Policy Modeling

On Wednesday, we鈥檒l dive into policy modeling, a critical aspect of building an effective authorization system. We鈥檙e launching a brand-new feature鈥攖ested by our design partners鈥攖hat will simplify policy modeling like never before.

This feature introduces a groundbreaking way to model policies for RBAC, ABAC, and ReBAC, making it easier to set up fine-grained rules without the complexity. In addition, we鈥檒l show off some advanced tricks in attribute-based and relationship-based access control that will take your policy configurations to the next level.
